Wow…Wasn’t the snow AWESOME!
We would have to say our family truly enjoyed every minute of the first big snow to cover Middle Tennessee in a while. They reported days of sledding and other adventures out in the bitter cold. It was a lovely sight to look out and see. The birds were beautiful against the white blanket of snow. Our caregivers made it here every day, and I was very thankful. We say a big "thank you" to all the road workers and folks that braved the roads to get to work for those that needed them. The hospital workers are so faithful to put others in front of their own safety. Our electricity flickered all day last Friday, but never went completely off. It was scary, but we made it through.
The churches really hate to call off services, but it was a good call in our community. We had some trees down and ice/snow everywhere around our church yard.
It was good to get a visit from our neighbor and friend, Nora Harvey. She had her granddaughter, Alma Rose, with her. We enjoyed our time together. Another neighbor, Jeanette France, called to check on us one day last week. It is good to have great neighbors.
We send sympathy to Carlene Martin’s family in the event of the death of her dear sister. We are thankful to hear a good report from Jon Johnson. Please continue to pray for this young man as he goes through additional treatments. Help us pray for Jennifer Shores and her baby that was born early. He will be in Vanderbilt hospital for several weeks. Pray for the family and that this little boy gets stronger day by day. Jennifer works in our school system. We heard that Cynthia Agee wasn’t feeling well, so we send warm wishes for wanted health to her. Continue to remember Bobby and Mary Joins in your prayers. Get well wishes go out to Gina Arnold who had a little surgery in Murfreesboro last week. We hope you are feeling better Gina.
It was good to see a few days with our beautiful sun shining. We are reminded seasons come and go, and spring will be here soon. It’s time to gear up for our Valentine’s Day festivities as February is here! Find a love one to send a special warm wish to. Let us all make an effort to share our love and a smile to all we meet along our daily walk.
Sin can quickly get a foothold on our lives, but this scripture is an example of true remorse and humbleness.
As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. Luke 7:38
