Be sure to get the Smithville Review for pictures from the Grandpa Fair of the South. The fair had a large crowd every night with contestants in the pageants, hosted by our own Angie Meadows, to the singers at Memory Lane, Dessa Ray was one of them and she has a beautiful voice, to all the noise and bashing of derby cars up on the hill. And let’s not forget Veronica Johnson singing her heart out in the Lip Sync Battle she came out on top as the winner. A lot of work goes into getting the fair ready and Board of the Fair are all volunteers to spend countless hours throughout the year to prepare for the fair. Thank a board member if you see one they do a great job. Or before you complain about something that will pass think twice I would not want to do their job.
Looks like rain through next Wednesday with possible flooding there are already roads broke up down in the Seven Springs area with water overflowing. Be careful and do not cross flowing water. Turn around and go home or find another safe route.
Things change daily in people’s life. We are not promised tomorrow. Do the best you can to help someone in need or just send a card to let them know you are thinking about them. The only true friend you have in this world is Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior without Him to talk too and pray to I would be lost. Make Him your Savior today. You will be glad you did and you will always have a friend in Him. He will never leave you or forsake you. God Bless you.
Please pray for the families that have lost loved one there are so many, pray for the missing children, that they may be found and return home to their loved ones. Pray for the people that have no families or are homeless may they find shelter and someone to care for them.
