Special get-well wishes go to the Reynolds Family in Alexandria. They have been at home suffering with the flu. Many in DeKalb County have the flu. Everyone still needs to be cautious. We hope it will soon disappear.
After having been in DeKalb Community Hospital, Tom Cripps is back home on Dismal Road. We heard that he was asking for a glass of buttermilk and cornbread. His request was granted. His is just a good ole “country gentleman.” Remember Tom and Georgia in your prayers, and may God be with this family.
Nurses at DeKalb Medical Center report that they are still seeing patients with the flu.

It was good to talk with our friend and neighbor in Dowelltown, Ruth White. Ruth’s brother, Michael Thompson, of Texas came to visit Dec. 23 and stayed for an extended visit until Jan. 23. Ruth and family were so happy to have Michael visit. She reported having many friends visit with the family while he was with them.
Ruth celebrated her birthday on Jan. 13. Belated wishes to her.
Ruth has been a shut-in for the past several years. She is thankful for her walker which helps her.

Elizabeth and Olivia Miller and Branden Kent of Lascasses were the overnight guests at the home of Roger and Kathy Hendrix. They visited Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell on Old Mill Hill Road, Monday.
