My husband, Douglas and I have been cleaning out my daughter’s room. Well, I can’t lie he has done most of the cleaning and moving. When your children leave they don’t take everything with them. They seem to leave behind stuff they still want to keep but wants you to store it. Both my children are married and have homes of their own but still have loads of stuff at my house. My son took most of his stuff we just redone his room. Lindsy’s room became the catch all room and believe me it caught a lot. I must say I am a sentimental person and I do seem to keep more stuff than I need. We went in that room and I just said, “Don’t let me look at it twice throw it away.” Now that we can see most of the floor, it seems that the most of the collection is mine. But I am sure I will find another place for it.

Beautiful weather was found here in DeKalb County over the past weekend. I’m sure everyone found something fun to do or work of course. Gardens are looking good, will be having some fresh vegetables soon. I plan on stocking up on the vegetables which means freezing and even some canning. I put up a lot of corn last year I thought but it was all gone too soon. So that means I need to put up more than last year. Growing up I can remember shelling Purple Hull peas you start out with a five gallon bucket and end up with a medium bowl full. I would get so mad think I sat there that longer and that was all the peas I got but never fail someone would come in with another bucket. All I would end up with was purple fingers and nails. There are some things worth buying at the store another example is bread and butter pickles they are time consuming to me. I would also buy them at the store, but I don’t even like them. I just thought of one more thing crab apple jelly oh my cook, strain, cook again not worth it go buy a 16 ounce jar I won’t tell anyone.

Prayers for the family of Kenny Moss and others that have lost loved one.

Everyone have a blessed day.
