The DeKalb County Angel Tree Project, Inc. recently completed its 21st Annual Angel Tree program.

The Angel Tree provides Christmas gifts for underserved children age one day-12 years old who live in DeKalb County.

"With the continued help of numerous volunteers, community supporters and donations, we were once again successful in serving hundreds of children in need this past December."

"Every year I am amazed at all the help and outpouring of love and support we receive," said Laura Stone. "It takes the generosity and giving spirit of the community to make this program a success. We have always been able to provide something for each child placed on the Angel Tree."

To further support fundraising efforts memorial donations at both DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Love Cantrell Funeral Home is now an option.

Reed Miller has been involved with the Angel Tree program for several years and after the passing of a few of his friends he decided that he wanted to do something special in their memory. He contacted Laura with the idea of a memorial donation to the Angel Tree.

"I was pleased that he chose our organization, and that he wanted to partner with the Angel Tree," added Stone.

Memorial certificates are now in place at both funeral homes and may be chose as an option to honor someone who passes.

Please contact Reed Miller at 615-215-7938 or Laura Stone at 615-464-7135 if you have any questions or would like to support the Angel Tree.
