I am so glad we missed the storms but it was not so good for states around us. As I look out my window at work all I can see is the wind blowing and some angry clouds. I like a good solid rain as well as the next person but I do not care much for storms and high winds. Some people enjoy watching the storms with the lightning and thunder to each his own. I remember playing in the rain if there was no lightning and thunder it was fun to be able to run in the rain. I remember making some of the best mud pies after a rain I always added some berry from a bush they would look so good you would want to eat one.
Growing up I remember playing outside every day if the sun was shining there was so much to do you don’t see children playing as much outside these days. But in their defense you can’t let them out of your sight with all the kidnapping and taking of children. I was able to from street to street to play. Mama would just call my name and I would run home. I always was home before dark.
On March 19, 2021 I lost my second mother, Joyce Mullinax. She was my mother’s best friend and when my mother passed away Joyce just took me under her wing. She was with me for every event in my life, when I got married, the birth of my children, and grandchildren. She taught me so much. She was the kindest, most caring person that I knew. She brought a smile to everyone who met her. She was always helping someone one way or another. She always found time for me and my family. I am going to miss talking to her and seeing that grin on her face. But as God promises I will see you again.
Remember the ones who have lost loved ones, and the sick.
God Bless!
