Happy Birthday Tammy Turner! Wow! We have had a heat wave come through this past weekend. Temperatures in the nineties was a little different for us. Lots of things were going on around town. At Greenbrook Park the Middle Tennessee Cornbread Festival was held this past Saturday. Angie and I attended the Corn Bread Festival there were lots of vendors there it was just so hot with no wind blowing our way. Also the block party downtown which started at 4 p.m. it was a lot cooler then I hope.
I got my first little sun burn on Saturday but I am okay in my face I usually just freckle up. The bugs seem to be bad this year. The ticks which terrify me are out searching for a host to grab on too, and the mosquitos are doing the same thing. I sprayed myself on Saturday and I didn’t get a bite. You also have to beware of flies they will bite you also. So apply sunscreen, apply bug repellant, and hope for the best.
Be sure to be extra careful on the lake also watch other boaters and wear your life jacket it may bother you to wear one but it can safe your life. Also make sure you have a fire extinguisher on your boat. I saw a boat on the news had caught on fire while getting fuel. Please be extra careful on the lake and please don’t drink and drive. Watch out for the little ones that may have drifted out too far.
There is so much to think about while you travel on vacation or just outdoors having fun in the yard. Just be safe this summer.
Please pray for the ones that have lost loved ones. And please continue to pray for the sick and the homeless it is just as bad to be out in the heat as out in the cold. Remember to help when you can and check on the elderly.
God bless you all!
