Mrs. Betty Hickey’s Class from First United Methodist Preschool tells us how to cook a turkey:
Caroline Driver – I would go outside and shoot a turkey, bring it in the house, and cook it in the oven at 10 degrees for 6,100 hours.
Rylin Green – We get a turkey from someone’s house and bring it home. We cook it for 3 minutes and 31 degrees. Then after I cool it, I will bring it to school because you know I don’t even like turkey!
Sawyer Hendrix – You shoot your gun at the turkey and kill it. After that, put hand sanitizer on it when you bring it home. Now it’s ready to eat.
Braxton Poss – You shoot the turkey. Bring it home and break the skin off of it and then cook it. Cook it for a pretty long time at 4,082 degrees.
Mackenzie Hendrixson – Cook it in the oven at 5 degrees for a few minutes.
Liam Turner – Go to the store and buy a turkey. Put it in the oven and cook it for 15 minutes and 2 to 5 degrees.
Maleah Presley – Go to the store and bring home a turkey. Put it in the oven at 8 degrees and cook it for 28 minutes and it’s done.
Sydney Rigsby – Cook the turkey in the pan and fry it. Cook for 10 minutes.
Hannah Hill – Cook it on the stove for 1 hour at 10 degrees.
Ethan Medley – Go to Food Lion and buy a turkey. Put it in the freezer. Then on Thanksgiving, you cook it for 13 minutes at 15 degrees.
Miller Williams – You get it and put it in the oven. Cook it for 8 minutes at 22 degrees. Then you eat it and it’s yummy.
Carleigh Tramel – You shoot a turkey. Then, put it in the oven at 100 degrees for 5 hours.
Levi Nixon – You Cannian Humphrey – Get a turkey from church. Put it in the refrigerator. Then put it in the microwave for 2 minutes on high. Then take it outside and eat it. I love turkey.
Levi Nixon – You go in the woods and kill a turkey. You put it in the oven for 5 hours at 48 degrees.
Mrs. Jane Groom’s Class:
Aniston Cox - Cook it in a pan, put it in the oven. Take it out and you eat it.
Carson Maynard - You cook it and flip it over and cook it. Put it in the refrigerator to let cool down.
Katy Bowen - You cut it. You pull the skin off and then eat it. You put it on a plate and you eat with a fork and spoon.
Sebastian McCormick - You put it in the refrigerator and you cook it in the microwave. Then you eat something else that is good for you.
Tate Webb - When you cook it, you mount it. Then you get the meat out and you eat it.
Titus Martin - You cook it on the grill. Put ice on it. You put it in your mouth and eat it.
Abram Bratten - You cook it. Then you cut it. Then you eat it.
Jonah Lester - Cook it and spin it around.
Khloe Judkins - You put the turkey in the pail and cook it. Then, you eat it.
Madalyn Johnson - You cook it and we actually eat it in our mouth.
Mason Curtis - You get a stove and turkey. You put it on the stove. You cut it when it is finished. Then you put it on the table and eat it.
Mrs. Trina Hedge’s Prekindergarten Class at Smithville Day School:
Zayden Campbell - Go get the turkey from where you deer hunt at. I am going to shoot it for my baby brother. Put it in the back of my daddy’s big truck. Make it hot and I will eat it.
Carly Fortner - Go to California to get a turkey. Pay $30 for it. Cut it up at home. Put pickles on it. Put is in the oven. Cook it for 60 minutes. My brother will eat it.
Joely Fortner - Go to the woods and kill the turkey. Take it home in the car. Pick off the feathers. Put ketchup on it and bake it. Cook it for 5 minutes on just a little hot. Take it to Grandma’s house and eat it.
Braxton Knowles - Put my camo on and go sit in the woods with my daddy and wait on the big ole turkey. Shoot the turkey with a shot gun. Carry it and put it in the back of the truck. Before it is cooked, put salt, pepper, ketchup, Country Bob’s Biscuit ‘n Gravy and chop on it. Cook it on the grill for 7 minutes, when it is done, eat it outside with friends and family.
Katie Pedigo - Go the Food Lion and get the turkey. Put sprinkles, apples and strawberries on the turkey. Cook the turkey on the grill for 1 minute.
Colt Quarles - Get the turkey at the farm. Cook it for 6 minutes in the oven. Put sprinkles on it. Eat it with Mom and Dad.
Conner Robinson - Kill the turkey in the woods. Put salt on it. Take the feathers off. Put the turkey in the oven and cook it for 50 minutes. Take it to Braxton’s house and eat it.
Lydia Slager - Go to the farmer’s barn and catch the turkey. Put it in a cage and take it home. Put it in the oven with barbecues sauce. Turn the oven on 40. Cook it for 30 minutes. Take it to Grandma’s house and we will eat it together.
