It’s Jamboree time! This year will be the 50th annual Jamboree held right here on the square in Smithville, Tennessee. Come out and see all the events, eat some good food, and go around to all the vendors. It is a time to see friends and relatives that you have not seen in a while because of Covid or other reasons. If you are unable to attend or just don’t want to be out in the heat you can still watch all the contestants on Channel 22 or listen to it on WJLE.
Now let’s not forget about the Grandpa Fair of the South, the Alexandria Fair will be celebrating 165years. It is nestled down in the town of Alexandria, Tennessee. Just like the Jamboree the fair is for everyone young and old. The fair will begin July 12, 2021 starting out with pageants with all the pretty girls and boys, demolition derby, cattle show along with games and of course food booths everywhere. Time to get your candy apple and cotton candy and of course your eats. Let’s not forget all the rides down the midway. There is lots to do at the fair one of my favorite things is to walk through the Sandlin building and look at all the exhibits. Lots to do in DeKalb County the next few weeks. For a small county we do know how to celebrate.
Prayers for the family of Mitchell Rowland, prayers for the families of the two missing little girls, prayers for the lost and pray that they may reach out to Jesus to save them before it is too late. This world is in an awful shape and we need the Lord daily continue to pray for the sick and pray for all your friend and family.
