Livingston Exchange Club Walking Tour

The Exchange Club of Livingston will be hosting a Historical Walking Tour of Livingston, TN on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 2-4 p.m. on the Square. 

This is a great opportunity for you & your family to discover Livingston's colorful history.  The tour includes 7 historical stops with narration by period costumed actors portraying prominent figures who made significant contributions to Overton County from the early 1800's to the mid 1900's. 

Some direct descendants will portray: 

Captain John Kennedy, Soldier of the War of 1812 

James R. Richardson, Registrar of Deeds who saved old land records during the Civil War 

Captain Calvin Myers, Served in the Civil War and the Mexican War 

Dr. Myrtle Lee Smith, Long time female doctor 

Dr. John Doak Capps, First Lt. Surgeon in World War I  

Belle Brown, Local movie theater owner 

William Owensby, Druggist 

Robert Ridley, Funeral director 

Tickets:  $10 adult, $5 child age 6-12.  5 and under free.
