Hemp oil products are now available at the farmer's market.

Relieving pain is the bottom line with CBD Hemp Oil which is now being grown and processed at a local farm in Liberty.

According to Brenda Huff who helps market the oil, her brother, David Lunsford is owner and operator of the Lunsford Family Farms which grows and processes hemp plant for CBD oil.

“It is a cannabinoid,” she revealed. “It has anti-anxiety, anti-seizure and anti-inflammatory properties.”

She noted there is a wide away of uses for the oil, ranging from treatment of minor aches and pains to more serious conditions.

While it looks like marijuana, you can't catch a buzz from hemp like is grown at Lunsford Farm.

“It’s both topical and oral. Anything from a muscle spasm to degenerative disk disease,” she said, noting she knows first-hand since she uses the oil in place of opioids for her chronic back pain.

“I was on Nucynta, an extended release form of opioid that is for around-the-clock treatment of pain. I’d been on it for many years after back surgeries, she said, noting she takes 1000 milligrams of CBD and uses a topical rub that keeps her pain under control all day.

“I’m off the opioids for the first time in 15 years,” she said.

Hemp is naturally grown in nature. If these plants has more than .03 THC (the product that is used for getting high) they have to burn the entire load.

“If they think they are going to get a buzz they are out of luck,” she said, noting their product is approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration. “All it does is help with the pain.”

They are selling it the farmer’s market.
