The cool weather set in for a few days and now the rain but the warm weather will be back soon in full force. The days are flying by us as we are already in the month of June. Many people are on vacation already whether it be the beach, mountains or other states. Traveling seems to be going okay. My plan is to stay right here in Tennessee this year and explore what we have to offer. I am happy being on my deck or patio just watching the outdoors in my back yard. But it seems like the longer you stay home the more projects you see that needs to be done. You know the ones you really don’t want to do.
People are out camping and have their boats on the lake. Center Hill Lake being so close to home for everyone here it’s a great advantage. Pick up one of the Review’s Lake Magazine and see what exciting things to do here. Some like to canoe, kayak, or surf the lake. I think I am the lazy river type. I remember when I was young we would go down to the creek and play on tractor tubes. That was a very big tube most all of us could fit on the top our goal was to be able to stand up and balance ourselves two at a time of course on the tube. I have had some good times growing up and really didn’t even realize it until I got older. Times were hard I guess but I really didn’t know if they were or not. We could always find something to do.
If your children have nothing to do there are plenty of VBS going on around town. New Home Missionary Baptist Church will be having their VBS June 16-18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the 19th will be Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
