Needmore Days
Pollitically incorrect

Truth is, the people around Needmore were not very politically correct. Neither Dooley, Cousin Billy Clyde, Uncle Artford nor many other people were. In fact we had never even heard of it back then

What is political correctness anyway? Many would believe from the wording that it has to do with which party you would tend to vote for. It may well be true that some political parties tend to make an effort to be more politically correct than others, .....this term does not actually refer directly to any certain political party. What is it then?

Let me see if I can break this down and explain it so that even someone like me can understand what it means. Just in case anyone reading hasn’t figured it all out yet. As used today it means that one should take any action or say any words that might seem offensive to one of three groups.

First it means that nothing should be said or done that would offend gays, lesbians, or transgender people. It is ok to poke fun at virgins. or those who chose to wait until marriage before becoming active sexually. But one must not offend gays or lesbians.

Secondly, it means that no one should ever speak words or take actions that other races, especially black people might find offensive. Thirdly, no one should ever say words that other religions might find offensive. While the term other religions is used. It really means Islam. never say or do anything that might offend Muslims. It is perfectly fine to say anything critical of Christians; especially evangelical Christians.

Make fun of Christians all you please, especially those who attend church faithfully, abstain from alcohol or refuse to go along with modern culture. Make fun of preachers but be more careful of offending priests. Make fun of Christians on TV if you choose to, no problem.

So then in pulling it all together. Laugh at fat people, they are fair game. Hillbillies and country bumpkins are also fair game. So ridicule them all you wish. You are even allowed to say bad things about Jews if you wish to do so, and by all means such people as Tim Tebow are open game to criticism.

I personally don’t believe I have any friends who try to be politically correct, although I have a few who get pretty close.

Finally, do you believe that political correctness is just a silly passing fad and will soon be gone and people will move on ? Well I don’t. I believe the politically correct movement to be one of the most dangerous things in the world today.Because it combines three huge problems into one package..

1.The undermining of the home and church.

2. Racial prejudice which is every bit as ugly and dangerous as the racism of the past century.

And 3. As we are taught never to say anything that might offend Islam. Their radical members continue their efforts to control the whole world. Wake up America. Just sign me politically incorrect.
