I’m glad that Gladys Curtis is back home in Alexandria after being in DeKalb Community Hospital for four-weeks recovering from injuries after falling in her home. Gladys is the mother of my daughter-in-law, June Vaughn.
Like me, Gladys goes to Dr. Donnie Cripps. We both think that he is the greatest. In my opinion, we are blessed to have all the fine doctors and medical staff in DeKalb County.
While I was thinking about Gladys, I remembered the many times that my second husband, C.W. Wilson, was sick.
He suffered with Parkinson’s disease for over 10 years. It was so sad to see his life slowly fade away.
During that time, he got great care from the Home Health nurses.
They were all so kind and considerate. There were many times when C.W. was confused, but the nurses were able to encourage him while helping with his needs.
It takes a special person to be a doctor, a nurse or anyone in health care. God bless them all.
