New Home Baptist Church enjoyed a hayride and supper Saturday night. The weather was cool, but they were prepared for the hayride. The young children and the older ones all enjoyed the hayride. They had a wonderful time together in fellowship.
Barbara Hibdon surprised me with a visit on Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the time together. She is in the process of selling her home and moving close to her daughter in Murfreesboro.
Spencer Stanfield and Hayden Ervin enjoyed visiting their friend Ben Driver at his home in Knoxville. They had a good time in Knoxville.
Valeria Mears and Ryan Burke visited Mabel Pack Saturday. Beth, Sara and Lily Hobbs visited on Monday. Mabel Pack has kittens to give away call 597-5394.
Barbara Lawson visited Sue Arnold Saturday. Tim and Ronda Young were Sunday dinner guest after church.
Jewell Wiser visited Rebecca Ervin and they visited Jeanette Redmon.
Thanks for all the calls and cards I got wishing me happy birthday. My birthday is Oct. 21 Flora Mae Adcock birthday is the same as mine. I especially enjoyed her call she tells me how much she enjoys my column in the Smithville Review as well as many others. I especially enjoy Mrs. Louise Frazier’s column she makes Dry Creek come alive for me. I would like to be able to walk around some of the places I use to visit down there.
Mabel Pack attended the Baptist Association on Tuesday night at First Baptist Church in Woodbury. She went with Bro. Jonathan Willoughby and family. They went from Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Those attending from New Home Baptist Church were Tim Young, Douglas Ervin, and Jonathan Puckett.
Congratulations to Ethel Keith Ashford and Mrs. Grace Close. Two good ladies celebrate their 101 birthday recently.
Faye Adkins visits me on Sunday on her way to church and brings me the Standard paper from McMinnville. I have relatives and friends living there, I like keeping up with. Other visitors this week were JoAnn Pittman, Ralph and June Vaughn, Rebecca Ervin, Betty Byford. I am very thankful for good friends.
