Many celebrate Mothers Day

Guest of Sue Arnold on Sunday for lunch after church were Tim and Ronda Young. Visiting later was Barbra Lawson.

 

Sympathy to the family of Lou Dean Wright in her passing. She had been in poor health for quite a while.

 

Richard and Becky Mears of Hendersonville visited Mabel Pack Saturday. Mabel Pack went with Carlon and Jeanette Mabe Sunday afternoon to the decoration at the Keith Cemetery.

 

Congratulations to Judy Wright she won the drawing on the WJLE Birthday Club. She won roses from DeKalb Florist.

 

Trent and Michelle Hawkins got back Sunday from their honeymoon in the Bahamas. They are residing on Patterson Road.

 

Verna Miller and her brother Gale and Wife, Shirley Keith of Franklin visited Snow Hill Cemetery and Banks Cemetery to put flowers on their loved ones graves for Mother’s Day.

 

Remember Bro. Tommy Taylor in your prayers. He has not been feeling well. I talked to Geneva Sunday. He is a good minister, and has always been good at fixing things, visit the sick and shut-ins.

 

Phil George is another on the prayer list. He and Susan returned home from Houston, Texas from visiting his doctor. He received a good report.

 

Visitors of Betty Wilson were Ralph and Randy Vaughn on Saturday for Mother’s Day. Others visiting were Faye Adkins, Betty Byford, JoAnn Pittman, Rebecca Ervin, Sue Arnold, Louise Jones, Cindy Vaughn and Chase.

 

Bobbie Fish had her children to visit her on Mother’s Day, they ate with her.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Shane Miller and Cloie visited Don and Treba Hawkins on Monday evening.

 

Sympathy in the death of Louise Brown passing away at her home. She was a well known person.

 

Barbara Ann Ervin was surprised with a cookout for Mother’s Day. Son-in-law Ryan Winfree manned the grill, while the rest of the family, husband Douglas, children Hayden and Linsdy, along with granddaughter Charlee Mac prepared the side dishes for the meal. Katie Roehner, Hayden’s girlfriend, also helped with the festivities. After a delicious meal, Barbara Ann received several gifts from her family.

 

Kimberly Violet also celebrated Mother’s Day at home with her family. They, too, enjoyed a cookout and family fellowship.
