Elicia Taylor, bride-elect of Jonathen Puckett, was honored with a bridal shower Sunday afternoon at New Home Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. She received several nice and useful gifts.
Congratulations to the seniors of DCHS that graduated Friday night. It always seems sad and happy to get out of school. I hope all success in life.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Evie Hill. She passed away recently and is missed by her family and friends. Her children were so good to her.
Andie and Sarah Malone spent Thursday night with her grandmother, Clara May Hawkins.
Elvedia Hoover and Donna Springer of Clarksville visited Betty Wilson recently. They are good friends and she was happy to see them. They take the Smithville Review and like to read about home folks and friends.
I have so much to be thankful for, like friends and neighbors. Kathy Rice makes bags to fasten onto your walker to put your phone and other things in. The home health lady got me one. I appreciate it very much, she donates them.
I would also like to thank Whorton Springs Baptist Church for the good lunch they brought to me and my neighbors on Thursday. Dianne Evans brought flowers and set them out in my boxes on the porch. Since I am not able to do much, a lot of people have been good to me and I appreciate it.
Joyce Wright and Loudean Wright and Shirley Stone of Texas visited Lou Autry Malone recently. They went to the White Possum Grill for lunch to help Shirley and Joyce celebrate their birthdays.
Sue Cook and Johnnie Ruth Hunt were guest on Mother’s Day for lunch with Billy and Mary Jane Hooper.
Get-well wishes are extended to Jo Dean Redmon. She fell and hurt her foot and has been in a lot of pain.
R.J. Ervin is now a resident of The Webb House Retirement Home. His family, Angie Meadows, Stephanie Rackley and JoAnn Pittman visit him often. It is a nice place to live.
It is good to have Kenneth and Lucy Young back in church. They were absent due to Lucy breaking bones in her arm.
Sympathy is extended in the death of Mrs. Edna Vaughn.
I enjoyed the all-day gospel singing from Alexandria Fair Grounds on May 19. Thanks to WJLE for broadcasting it so that people like me that cannot go can still enjoy listening.
Billie Simpson and Michelle Walker visited Corrine Melton Sunday afternoon in Woodbury Nursing Home.
