Sunday guests for lunch with Sue Arnold were Bro. Jr. and Barbara Hibdon and Tim Young.
Congratulations to Eldrige and Bobbie Sue Fish. They celebrated their 60th anniversary. Their name was drawn on WJLE for a catfish dinner for both from Center Hill Restaurant. Eldrige hasn’t been well for some time. I hope he is feeling better.

My son, Ralph, does my grocery shopping and purchases my medications for me since I don’t get out of the house very often. We were recently talking about when I was a young girl and how much I enjoyed getting a Moon Pie and an orange soft drink. I could make a meal on those two things.
The more I thought about it, I asked him to get me some Moon Pies on the next trip to the grocery store. Sure enough, he got me a box of them.
I have enjoyed every bite, but I was a little surprised when seeing the size of a Moon Pie today compared to how I remembered them back many years ago.  They now cost about 30 cents each compared to five cents years ago, and the size today is about half of what I remember as a child.
Of course I know that times are a lot different now; just like a soft drink was five cents back then. A package of chewing gum was five cents compared to over a dollar now. A candy bar was five cents and today a person has to pay about a dollar or more for one.
While eating a Moon Pie, my mind went back to many great memories as a child and the other good things in my life.
We were very poor people, but wealth is not about money.
I have enjoyed a good life; not without problems. But the Lord has blessed me and continues to bless me every day.
