Stephanie Rackley attended Judie Davis’s birthday celebration on Sunday evening. I hope Judie has many more happy birthdays.
During their last visit, my son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and June Vaughn, told me about attending a reception in Chattanooga to honor Tommy (Reynolds) Jett. Tommy had a car wreck back in April of this year and had many complications to follow. At one time, the family was afraid that Tommy would not survive, especially when he was in a coma.
Thank the Lord that he is now home and doing well. Ralph says that Tommy has made great progress and is able to walk and talk almost like he did before the accident. Tommy gives all the credit to the Lord for sparing his life. He was recently asked to be on a popular minister’s television program to share his testimony.
The event in Chattanooga was organized by some of Tommy’s former radio buddies.  Someone told Ralph that almost the whole city of Chattanooga and surrounding areas have been praying for Tommy during his recovery. He is really popular because of his radio career of over 50 years and for the many charities that he helped to organize and continues to support.
Ralph and Tommy became friends back in the early 1980s when WJLE did a special tribute to Hobson Reynolds, who was Tommy’s brother. Hobson was DeKalb County Circuit Court Clerk for many years.
Most of my older readers will remember that Tommy is the son of Jim Grady and Annie Nixon Reynolds.
