Johnnie Ruth Hunt and Sue Cook took Mary Jane Hooper to McMinnville Friday. They had lunch at Captain D’s.
They helped Mary Jane celebrated her birthday. I hope she has many more. She won roses from DeKalb Florist on Monday, her name was drawn on WJLE.
I got two interesting phone calls, which I enjoyed very much. One was from Jeanette France and one was from Louise Frazier from Dry Creek. I always enjoy reading Louise’s column. She makes Dry Creek come alive. I have been down there several times, and I know what she is writing about.
Billie Simpson visited Michele Walker and family recently.
Congratulations to June Keith. Her name was drawn on WJLE birthday club for a dinner at Kilgore’s Restaurant.
Dot Rodgers visited Nell Young at Dibrell Friday.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Travis Whitefield, our neighbor. He passed away unexpectedly.

Valerie Mears visited her mother, Mabel Pack, Saturday.
Get-well wishes to Bobby Ruth Fish. She had surgery recently, and she is recovering. We are both under a doctor’s care, and appreciate prayers.
I was sorry to hear of the death of Sarge Bowman, a friendly and kind person.
Recent visitors of Lou Autry Malone were Joyce Wright of Murfressboro, Wanda Tramel of Crossville and Ellie Vaughn of Murfressboro. She spent a couple of days with her.
Shane  and Cloie Miller were supper guest of Don and Treba Hawkins on Monday.
