New Home News: Congrats to Lady Tigers
Barbara Ann NEW.jpeg

Congratulations to DCHS Lady Tigers, Coach Fish, managers, and the parents of these young ladies. They have had a great season and going to state!  The people of DeKalb County are so proud of these young ladies for all they have accomplished this season.

Glad to see warmer weather but still rain in the forecast. Maybe the cold spells are done. I hope so, I think that’s why we stay sick with a cough or sinuses and allergies.

Make sure to wear green on Sunday in observance of St. Patrick’s Day so no one at church can pinch you. Hate to have a ruckus in church. Preacher may not appreciate that but if he’s not wearing green he is fair game. I wondered about St. Patrick so I looked him up. St. Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland. He was a Christian missionary credited with converting Ireland to Christianity in the AD 400s. So many stories about his life the truth is not easily found. His real name is believed to be Maewyn Succat and he took on the name Patrick when he became a priest. So that is why we celebrate St. Patrick Day.

Happy Birthday belated birthday to: Katie Ervin, Bo Yarbrough, Peggy Cantrell, Hunter Stanfield, Elaine Winfree, Robbin Poss, and Myron Rhody. Happy Birthday to Kimberly Violet, Tammy McDonald and our Pastor at New Home Missionary Baptist Church Bobby Lee Hale.

Remember in prayer: the family of John Edward Adamson, and the family of Lee Hendrix.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. II Corinthians 13:14
