New Home News - It's good weather for deck sitting
Smithville Local Columnist.png

The beautiful weather we are having right now. I did enjoy the cooler temperatures. New Home Baptist Church had a wonderful homecoming service. There were lots of food enjoyed by everyone there.

I enjoy sitting outside on my deck each morning with my coffee, Bible, and my dog Belle. If you are quiet enough you can hear all sorts of animals. I actually heard two woodpeckers and they were on the same tree. It is just nice to have a peaceful moment before you start your day.

We need to pray for safety for the people that were in the path of Florence. I have a friend, Hillary Gould who was traveling out of harm’s way with her children. I hope everything is okay with her and her family.

Lindsy, Charlee Winfree and myself attended a birthday party in honor of Thomas Park. He turned five years old. The party was held at Chuck E. Cheese. We had a blast, Charlee and all the children enjoyed the games and so did I. Yes I enjoyed playing skeet ball against my nephew, Jonathan Rowland. Of course we were just playing to get tickets for the kids. No, we both are very competitive. Anyway I’m ready to go back anytime he is. I also got to visit with family, which is always a plus.

Get well wishes and prayers for Linda Armour, Kenneth and Lucy Young, Kimberly Violet, Joe Young, Patricia McCormick, and Brenda Bates.
