It will take a while to write 2019 on your checks instead of 2018. The first of a new year seems to bring a sense of a fresh start of everything. Whether it be a goal you didn’t reach in 2018, such as saving more, losing weight, exercising more, spending more time with loved ones, whatever it may be a new year gives you that clean slate to start over. There are a lot of things I need to be better at and I will work on that, there’s just so many. I started reading my Bible everyday back in September. That is a personal goal of mine. It’s not that I didn’t read my Bible but I must say and confess I didn’t read it every day until now. I start my day off reading the Bible before I leave for work. It helps me throughout my day.

Twenty six people from New Home Missionary Baptist Church traveled to Williamstown, Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter, Noah’s Ark. This is a one of a kind structure and is also the largest timber frame structure in the USA. They said the Ark was amazing how things were built and how food was grown and the animals were fed. They also visited the Creation Museum which shows Bible history come to life and explores creation. Everyone had a wonderful time there.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Louise Frazier. Ms. Louise was a long time columnist for the Smithville Review. I enjoyed reading about her flowers, garden, canning and most of all her family. I will miss reading her column.

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. John 16:27
