So many people today standing around with their hands in their pockets and doing nothing to glorify the Lord as they seem to be expecting others to carry on with honoring Him. Don’t let the opportunity slip away in letting others know how magnificent God is. By all means don’t be the judge and the jury to the people you come in contact with. Only God is to be the judge of us. Our job here as Christians is to witness to people about Jesus Christ. You, like me, have no doubt encountered people supposedly show are living for the Lord but believing they are the only ones that will make it to heaven, because of the church they attend. Mankind will dream up just about anything I have found to justify their philosophy on this matter. Please, just please, rethink your thinking about who’s going to be in heaven and who’s not.
There are Christians in every denomination I have found while serving the Lord in my lifetime. I certainly do not have any right to condemn others because of the sign on their church and in fact neither do you. If we put our faith in a sign that man has put up on a building that means our faith is totally misguided and not in God as far as I am concerned. If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ and asked Him to forgive you of your sins and you mean that with all sincerity, then you will be saved no matter who you are and no matter where you’re at.
I only write what I feel in my heart God wants me to put down on paper in His column. Time is short I feel so let’s realize the only important thing in this life we live is Jesus. We all need to get our act together here so someday we’ll be in heaven in the presence of Jesus.
Please keep the following people in your prayers: the family of Harold Warren, Fay Pitts, Carlon and Mai Nell Melton (Mai Nell suffered a fall that fractured a rib and caused a lung to collapse), Houston and Martha Parker (Houston having good days and bad days because of the cancer he has), and Charlie Mai Daniel.
If you have any news for the column, just give me a call at 615-563-4429.
Have a great day!
I will life up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. – Psalm 121:1
