News From The Mountain
Too wet to mow

Lots of rain falling this afternoon on the mountain, stopping me from mowing the yards. Probably have to wait at least a day before I can get back to the mowing as it rained so much. The weather guys and gals were surprised this happened, as they weren’t predicting it.

Saw Mrs. Macon Judkins at Walmart last week. She was doing well, and I found out she is 92 years old. Got to spend a few minutes with her, and I really enjoyed that.

The "Gunter Reunion" is on Aug. 31 at Aubrey’s shop. Everyone is looking forward to this annual affair. Also on Aug. 31, there will be a singing at the Smithville Church of God. I attended the last singing, and certainly enjoyed all the talented people from our congregation. Try to come out and be there, as you will thoroughly enjoy it and be blessed.

Keep these people in your prayers; Carlon and Mai Nell Melton, Donna Lawson, Denise Stanton, Chloe Evelyn Bogle, Bobby Taylor, and the family of Jewell Lawson, and Edith Miller.

Hope to get to attend the Lord’s house this Sunday to praise and worship him.
