We’ve gotten over four inches of rain the past few days and hopefully it’s about to end for us on Thursday. The lawns are really lush and green and do they ever need to be mowed. Probably will be Saturday before the ground and the grass will be dried out enough to start up the lawn tractors for a lot of us. I’m wondering if October will be as wet as September was a total wash out around here.
Fall decorations I’m spotting quite often now at a lot of homes. Once you get an idea on how you want to decorate the fun can begin. Some bales of hay, some cornstalks a good starting point and then add some mums, pumpkins, a scarecrow or two and whatever else to add to your display of welcoming fall. I like checking out the beautiful scenes that people create. Sometimes I find myself saying why I didn’t think of that, because they are so eye-catching and to be admired.
We do have some people to be praying for and God hears our prayers as prayer is such a powerful weapon that we need to use all the time from the start of the day till we lay down for sleep at nighttime: the families of Perry Stembridge, Paul Foster, Jonell Bratcher, and Norman Warren, Edna Hooper, Jerry Lee Cantrell, Sandy Johnson, Charlie Mai Daniel, Bernie Braswell, Joe Young, John Carpenter, the family of Linda Kilgore Armour, and, too, the people who have lost loved ones and properties in the Carolina’s with all the flooding that has happened from hurricane Florence.
I’ve found out if I put the Lord at the top of my agenda each day in prayer, my day always goes 100% better. Try it and you’re going to feel much better and will do even more for the Lord in whatever you want to accomplish that day.
Have a great day!
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love the God, to them who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
