Operation Christmas Child boxes

New Home News with Barbara Ann Ervin

Last Sunday the ladies at New Home Baptist church sorted through boxes of sock, crayons, toys and much more to get ready for the packing of the shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. You really don’t realize how much you are blessed till you pack one of these boxes. You try and put as much as you can in a shoe box. I think I could pack a tote and still want to send more. When I think about what we send the children I am happy but also sad we have so much and they have so little. If you have never watched a video of one of the Christmas children opening a box please do so and see how happy they are to receive this little shoe box.

We are blessed as a country yet many people don’t see it that way. We have so many privileges will other countries do not. America needs to wake up and see the blessings we do have and be grateful. Our government needs to go back to the basics and start over. For one they need to quit bickering all the time and remember why they are in the office they are in. To help and oversee this country not drag it down. That goes for all of them Democrats and Republicans. If they would just think of everyone like it is their family things would work a lot better. I think we probably have the worst medical insurance around. And the cost of medicine is terrible. Just something we all need to pray about pray for our country.

Please continue to pray for Kimberly Violet she was put back in the hospital, she is home now recovering, Serenity Tiner had pneumonia and spent a few days in the hospital but she is feeling better, Sue Arnold is recovering from her surgery, and Ms. Fay Adkins had knee surgery and recovering well. We pray all of these people continue to get well. Remember baby Hudson Mathis in your prayers.

Please remember in prayer the family of Kathleen Violet, the family of Margaret Judkins, and the family of Timothy Fud Banks.

Pray also for the victims of Hurricane Dorian.
