News from the Mountain
Our weather has been just terrific this past week. I do hope you got outside to enjoy it.
Like me have you been thinking about the people that have lost their businesses, their livelihood with all the burnings and lootings that have taken place in so many cities? Some of these businesses were most likely just hanging on by a thread and may never be able to come back. I think all businesses still left standing should have their establishments in readiness for anyone who breaks a window with ammo to even the score should that happen. After all, the protesters have broken the law themselves big time by acting like fools in my opinion. We protect our homes don’t we from people who try to break in on us? Well, our businesses need to be protected too. If I were to go out here and take the law into my own hands and hurt people by destroying their property and how they make a living then I would be asking for whatever I got. I think no mercy should be shown to me just like no mercy should be shown to these protesters.
Someone brought up the fact that these protesters are not Christians. I whole heartily agree there’s not a Christian in the bunch. A lot of people are fed up with what’s going and I, too, am one of them. I am a firm believer if a person doesn’t like this country then get on a plane or a boat and leave it and go to another country that you deem you would like better. You would probably be treated so much better by far. We could provide you a one way ticket. Sure our country has faults but you do, too, as you have shown by your outlandish criminal behavior. I call a spade a spade. You have broken the law yourselves and you need to be punished to the full extent of the law, also.
Please keep in prayer the family of Peggy McClain, age 71. Peggy passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, after a bout with cancer.
Also be praying for the families of Bobby Pitts, and Linda Jeanette Scott in the loss of their loved ones.
We have some people to be praying for on a daily basis: Frank Stembridge, Talmage Young, Louise Foster, she is doing a lot better, Charlie Mai Daniel, Ronald Lawson, Dr. J.C. Wall, Ethelene Pedigo, Helen Nixon, and Jeanette Smithson.
John and Rose Womack celebrated their 57th wedding Anniversary last week. Congratulations to you both.
