There’s a new fence and feed store in town, offering a wide variety of agricultural items to local farmers and hobbyists. Charles Diller and his two sons, Kenneth and Wendal Diller, have opened Premier Ag and Fence on Highway 56 in Smithville.

“We started building fence around the end of last year,” said Kenneth Diller. “We had fencing supplies in here, for our own use for our jobs, and we decided to just open up to the public. We wanted to add a little more than just fencing, so we added feed and supplies as well.”

According to Charles, the company has a wide variety of farm supplies. “Some items we have in stock are a full line of fencing materials including wire, posts, gates, water troughs, and fencing accessories. We carry a good selection of animal feed, cattle, chicken, including game chicken, horse, pig, goat, and sheep. Our feed is Formax brand, manufactured by a family-owned mill, Burkman Feeds.

“We also have a full line of minerals and tubs, and can order specialty items. We carry baler twine and bale wrap, and have various qualities of hay, square and round bales, straw, and corn silage.”

Of course, Premier Ag and Fence’s main specialty is fencing, and they have a building crew available to install fencing. “We aim to serve the community by providing quality products at reasonable prices. We invite our friends and neighbors to stop by, check us out and discuss their needs.”
