News from the Mountain
Thought it was going to be a rainy night in Tennessee (not Georgia), but alas, it didn’t pan out.
It was thundering and those clouds in the southeast looked very threatening so I called it a day on pulling those stubborn weeds that are trying to take over our driveway. It may take me till the first snowflake falls, but I will get the job done, because it’s going to look great outside our patio doors seeing gravel again instead of weeds looking at me.
Someone once told me you’re not remembered very long after you pass away by most people. That is probably true.
Of course, family and loved ones will hold you dear and close to their hearts always. Live your life for the Lord and when by chance your name does come up in conversation may they only remember Jesus was the One you were living for.
After all, we’re not here for our glory we are here for His glory only. While you are living here, make everyday a worthwhile day in reverence to Him. Show Jesus’s love and compassion wherever you may travel. Got to thinking how I was not worthy of Jesus dying on that cross for me, forgiving me of my sins, and saving my soul.
Then I came to realize He thought I was worthy of that sacrifice of love our almighty God and all I could say to Him was “Thank You” as I started to praise and worship His holy name. His wondrous love for us we can’t fathom at times is seems but it is always there never to leave us in the good times and in the bad times.
Blessed you are beyond measure when Jesus you have accepted and are letting Him lead, guide, and direct your footsteps on that narrow road that only a few will travel. A more traveled road it will be if we will do our part in telling others about Jesus our Savior and soon coming King.
