Second annual lighting of tower at Edgar Evins

Santa will be available to hear Christmas wishes from all good girls and boys of all ages. Last year, Lori Christensen, Woodbury, expressed child-like delight when she had her turn with Santa last year.

All are invited to join in on the festivities at the 2nd Annual Lighting of the Tower at Edgar Evins State Park,Silver Point, on Sat., Dec. 2nd from 5 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. This free, family friendly public event will include food, live music, tree trimming, a visit from Santa, and hayride (weather permitting.) The park office is built around a tall observation tower. During the evening all will go outside to witness the official Lighting Of The Tower and grounds to kick off the Christmas season at the park.  

The park is located at 1630 Edgar Evins Park Road, Silver Point, TN 38582. The entrance is in DeKalb County, on Center Hill Lake, approximately 20 miles north of Smithville, 20 miles west of Cookeville, and 60 miles east of Nashville, across the highway from Big Rock Market and Caney Fork Outdoors.  From I-40 take exit 268 at State Hwy. 96 and Center Hill Lake. The physical address is 1630 Edgar Evins Park Rd., Silver Point, 38582 

This event will be jointly hosted by the park staff and the Friends of Edgar Evins State Park, an all volunteer non-profit organization  with the sole purpose of helping the park.
