Centerhill Baptist Church in Cannon County, with Greg Mitchell, pastor is having a fish fry with all the fixins, Oct. 19 beginning at 5p.m.
This is a free community event for anyone to come to. If you don’t care for fish, they will have chicken, too. How good is that?
Jimmy and Fay Hale got back from a marvelous trip to Montreal and Quebec Canada. Jimmy and John Womack have got to catch up now with their golf game they have been missing out on.
I saw Kathy Carpenter at Walmart after church Sunday.
She is one more lovely lady and quite a talented singer as her sister, Karen.
They make the Gunter reunion so special each year.
Lonnie Estes, 70, passed away Oct. 4 at DeKalb Community Hospital. My deepest sympathy to Lonnie’s family. He was laid to rest in the Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery on Monday.
We have some new neighbors down the road in front of Melvin and Alene Ferrell. Tony and Kim McCutcheon and their family have purchased this home, and we are so glad to have them in our community.
The trees on the mountain behind our house are starting to turn some now.
I can hardly wait for the glorious colors of autumn leaves to get here. A spectacular array of beauty here on the mountain, we can enjoy anytime of the year. We are so blessed
