Sophia Tiner turned 4 years old on July 21, 2020 she celebrated with a party and a cook out. Several of her friends and family attended her friends and she had a pool to play in, a sprinkler pad, and her swing set. Everyone had a good time outside. Also so happy birthday to Rainy Tiner she also celebrated her 16th birthday. Happy Birthday to Mark Violet who birthday was July 26, 2020.

I have enjoyed the much needed rain showers. Good for the gardens and the yards more mowing of course. It is almost time for school to start. I hope everything goes well. My granddaughter, Charlee will be in Kindergarten my how time flies by us. I am excited for her to start school and so is she.

I wonder sometimes with all the technology we have today than we did when I was younger in school is the learning any better. I learned without a computer don’t get me wrong I love the computer but like when they changed the way of doing math. The new way seems more complicated than how most of us was taught. Just my opinion.

Here is something funny. I planned on canning some dill pickles so I went to the store and bought the ingredients I needed. Got back home washed the cucumbers go all the ingredients out. Then I went to get my jars to wash them and I didn’t have any. Of all things not to have jars. So I have postponed the pickling till I get jars. Another thing I remember my Mama planted dill and we just went outside and cut what we needed. Well I searched the store for the fresh dill and it is expensive. I guess next year I will plant some dill.

New Home Missionary Baptist Church will be having preaching in the park at Greenbrook Park on August 1, 2020 starting at 2p.m. The preachers preaching will be Bro. Glenn Denton and Bro. Ronnie Owens. Bring your lawn chair and listen to preaching and some good music by Pleasant View Church. Everyone is invited to attend.

Please continue to pray for the ones that have lost loved ones. Pray for this world that it may turn away from sin and reach out to the Lord. Pray for the rioting, fighting, and the crimes that are committed.
