Stay weather aware

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the families of Karen Taylor age 57 (Russell Taylor's cousin), and Wanda Faye Byford, age 83, in the loss of their loved ones.  Please keep these families in your prayers at this sad time.

We've had a few days without any rain, but the weatherman is forecasting the rain and thunderstorms will be back late Thursday evening and through Saturday.  Some storms could be severe.  I hope everyone stays weather aware.

Mai Nell Melton celebrated her sister, Gracie Bratcher's birthday a little bit early (sisters can do that ya know) with a fish meal from Kilgore's along with a beautiful card and a gift bag.  They

had a wonderful lunch and spent some quality time together.  Gracie's birthday is just around the corner on June 20th.  She'll be "91" years young!

Flowers are flourishing all over the place.  Hydrangea's, lilies, mom's July beauties. and Aunt Lou's purple flowers are putting on quite a show.  We've had so much rain and that has made the flowers get into go-go gear.  As I've said before, flowers add so much beauty to a home.  Dahlias are coming along nicely.  They are the yellow dinnerplate dahlia's and when they bloom the bloom can be huge...ten-to-twelve inches across.

Spent some time this week talking with Ann Warren and was glad to hear her family is well.  B.J. (her son) still has his green thumb in growing vegetables in his garden.  I also got to chat with Ruth Brown.  Jeff (her son) not feeling too good at the present time. Please keep Jeff in your prayers.

Connie Cantrell, Russell Taylor, Rick Hubler and Rex Pedigo stopped by this week.

The birds were singing their sweet melodies out on our patio this morning.  I'm also hearing some baby birds chirping.  I guess they are wanting to eat their breakfast.  So peaceful outside this morning and that helps you to concentrate on what your agenda will be for the day.  Life in the country, as I've said before, can't be beat.  Never pass up the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.  We've finally been able to emerge from that cold weather so let's enjoy what this warm weather can do for us.

We have some people that are in need of prayer:  Dusty Johnson, Mary Melton, Diane Evans, Rose Watts, Walter and Faye Ferrell, Edna Hubler, Joe Gunter, Jeff Brown, Donald Ferrell, Paul Young, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the leaders of this great nation, and the families of Karen Taylor and Wanda Faye Byford.  God always hears the prayers of His children.

Sticker shock on cars and trucks is pretty common.  Roundup has doubled in price for a gallon from around $12, to get this, $25 at a local establishment.  In my opinion, I understand a business has to make a profit, but this is ridiculous.

Father's Day, June 15th, is quickly approaching.  Our fathers are so very special in everything they say and do.  They love us as our heavenly father loves us.  I'm hoping for those of you that still have your dad that you let him know how much he is loved and appreciated.  Supporting us and being there for us is what they do day in and day out.  Shower him on his "special day" with a card and gift and whatever else you think he might like.  You've got him today ... you might not have him tomorrow.

Have a great day and a Happy Father's Day!

God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.  John 3:17
