Tatrow takes the Fairest title, Colwell named Junior Princess

Opening night of the DeKalb County Fair found 29 lovely young ladies competing for the 2012 Junior Fair Princess title and six beauties vying for the Fairest of the Fair crown. Walking away with the titles were 15-year-old Lauren Elizabeth Colwell, Junior Fair Princess, and 18-year-old Victoria Dawn Tatrow, Fairest of the Fair. Colwell is the daughter of Trent and Christie Colwell of Smithville. Tatrow is the daughter of Corey and Vickie Funk of Smithville and the late Shanna Tatrow. 
Colwell succeeds the retiring Junior Fair Princess, 17-year-old Melanie Grace Rush of McMinnville, daughter of Susan and Greg Rush, while Tatrow succeeds retiring Queen Katie Sue Haggard, the 18-year-old daughter of David and Vickie Haggard of Smithville.
The Junior Fair Princess' court consisted of first runner-up 16-year-old Ashley Medlin, the daughter of Greg and Teresa Medlin of Smithville; Haley Marie Hale, second runner-up, the 15-year-old daughter of Chad and Melissa Hale of Smithville; third runner-up Taylor Brook Cantrell, the 16-year-old daughter of Jeff and Deborah Cantrell of Smithville; and 16-year-old Skylar “Paige” Winningham, fourth runner-up, daughter of Jeff and Melissa Winningham of Sparta.
Rounding out the top 10 were Taneah Brooke Cantrell, Kami Denise Bogle, Kelsey Sueanna Hedge, Attiah J'nay Hicks and Kimberly Nicole Carlton.
Tyra Grace Graham, the 13-year-old daughter of Kyle and Doris Graham of Smithville, was named Miss Congeniality during the competition. The Miss Photogenic award went to Rachel Olivia Fuson, the 14-year-old daughter of Joe and Missy Fuson of Smithville.
Receiving the People's Choice Award was Shelby Delane Prichard, the 14-year-old daughter of Stan and Michelle Prichard of Brush Creek. The Extreme Queen title went to Destiny Danielle Franklin, the 13-year-old daughter of Charles and Jennifer Ware of Smithville. This title is sponsored by Extreme Looks Salon.
Other contestants included Liz Abigail Qualls, Hailey Nicole Glass, Rosa Maria Payne, Chelsea Shoulders,  Jailyn Paige Bolding,  Britney Nicole Keen,  Shauna Faith Taylor, Ashley Dawn Celestino, Brooke Danielle Roller,  Hannah Walker, Brandy Lynn Newby,  Kerra Necole Blackwell,  Courtney Madison Butler,  Mary Elizabeth Murray and Alexis Kasara Davis.
Fairest of the Fair Tatrow's court was made up of first runner-up Chelsea Alia Lewis, the 17-year-old daughter of Jimmy and Gina Lewis of Smithville; 18-year-old Sydney Jayann Robinson, second runner-up, daughter of Charles and Rita Robinson of Liberty; third runner-up Rebekah Grace Webb, the 17-year-old daughter of C.D and Cindy Webb of Dowelltown; and Makayla Shea Funk, fourth runner-up, the 17-year-old daughter of Amie Funk of Dowelltown.
Ciara Roehner was awarded Miss Congeniality. She is the 19-year-old daughter of William and Christina Roehner of Liberty. Makayla Shea Funk was named Miss Photogenic, Chelsea Alia Lewis was chosen Extreme Queen, and Rebekah Grace Webb received the People's Choice Award.
