Tennessee Special Olympics celebrates 32nd year

Gatlinburg -- Special Olympics athletes from around the state are waxing their skis and snowboards and sharpening their ice skates in preparation for the Special Olympics Tennessee Winter Games. The 32nd Anniversary of the Special Olympic Winter Games will be held February 5th -7th at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park. Over 150 athletes with intellectual disabilities will compete in Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Speed Skating in divisions based on age and ability.
