Hope everyone survived Christmas 2014! The weather was pleasant, not real cold, no rain, no snow---just right! Now to retrieve my house from papers, Christmas items and back to normal.

A good crowd turned out at First Methodist for the children's program on Sunday evening, and then a reception followed at the Fellowship Building. Congratulations to Becky Roberts, who directed the nativity drama with lots of adult and teen assistance. A prelude to the drama was a round table discussion on "My Christmas memories as a child." Moderator was Dr. John Carpenter with the participants, Sherry Bush, Bud King, and Pauline Cantrell.

About 28 of the late Nell and "BoBo" Driver clan gathered at Lakeside Resort on their annual Christmas Eve reunion. They had a great meal, sang songs with guitar players and made lots of pictures. Rev. Terry Little, a longtime friend, served communion to the group.

The Holiday House at 1805, Sparta Highway., is having an after holiday sale of 10 percent off. Shopping is 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
