Another busy week!
A new shop downtown, West Main Shop, has opened in the former Smithville Dress Shop, Henrietta Hale's building. A real nice couple, Angela and Joe Brown, are the new renters. Their shop is loaded with clothes for every member of the family, shoes, jewelry, books, figurines, etc.
The Smithville Parade was one of the longest I've seen here in a long time. It had floats, DCHS band, antique cars, business cars and vans, horses, and finally Santa on a fire engine
Get-well wishes to Charlotte Bandy, Barbara York, Debbie Tuggle, Jane Eller, Jerry and Carolyn Williams and Laird Barnard.
Happy birthday this month to: Kristie Driver, Janis Moss Moorehead, Betty Turner Loeb, Dr. Donnie Cripps, Reba Prince, Rev. Edwin Moore, Suzanne Prater and Jen Sherwood.
Sympathy to Becky and Jimmy Womack in the recent death of their son-in-law, Doug Mullendore in Murfreesboro. Also sympathy to the family of Ethel Keith. She and I were BPW friends and I went to school with her daughter, Jean Ann.
Sympathy to the family of Ruth Dobbs who died last week. She was a very kind lady.
Wednesday is Pajama Day at the elementary schools this week. Friday is an abbreviated day also at school. It's the children's party day.
Finish your Christmas shopping and get those greeting cards in the mail before the big rush.
Thought of the week: "Be merry, stay happy and remember others this season."
Amen.
