The big weekend of the 4th of July or Independence Day will be in full swing this weekend. Many will spend this historic weekend participating in the Jamboree activities, swimming, boating, picnics or just visiting with friends and family. Glad the Community Chorus will be back singing this Friday evening with Fay Fuqua as the director.
The High School Sisters group will hold their annual reunion at Center Hill Restaurant Friday at noon. This group has bonded ever since their elementary school days together. They haven't aged, just matured.
I made a late appearance at the Smithville Review open house last week so I missed seeing some of my fans and friends, like Louise Frazier. Angie said they had a large crowd to come by.
Sympathy to the family of Margie Smith who was a cousin of my mother's through her husband, businessman Jack Smith. Margie was a real sweet and kind lady. When she lived in Nashville, my husband and I would spend the night with her when we attended Annual Conference in Brentwood. A gracious hostess!
