The Tiger spirit prevailed Friday with the long homecoming parade and victorious football game. The parade wound around through the schools and downtown with the musical band, homecoming queen and her court, oodles of decorated cars and even the fire engine.
Our thanks to the numerous sponsors for furnishing the elementary school children with the book,  “Four Seasons for Little People.”  It was very good information on our seasons.
The Senior  Angels at First Methodist have plans to attend the drama, "A Sanders Family Christmas" at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville on Oct. 29. We still have about 10 seats left if anyone wants to join us. When we have 15, the ticket is $22. Call Becky at the church  597-4961, if you are interested in going.
Get-well wishes to Ronnie Hawkins, who is having surgery, Suzanne Prater after a fall, Rosie and Rev. Terry Little, Faye Iverlett, Faye James, Kenny Rhody, Sara Brown, Charmaine Mitchell, Anne Morese and Macon Judkins.
 Our prayers go out to the people of Kenya in Africa after a sudden terrorist attack in a mall. I have a friend who was in this area about two months ago.
Welcome Autumn! The chill is already in the air, especially in the mornings.
Closing thought: "Stressed is desserts spelled backwards."  How about that??
