The scheduled and forewarned power outage Sunday morning was a popular conversation topic at church. At my house, it was pitch dark with the outside pole lights off all around, but it seemed everyone adjusted to it, even the hot baths. This experiment makes us grateful for our electricity.
Sympathy to the families of Nathan Estes and Jimmy Ervin. The Estes family are my neighbors.
Get-well wishes and prayers to Suzanne Prater, Faye Iverlett, Betty Wilson, Corky Blair and Lewis Conklin.
It was good to see Anne Morse at church with her shoulder and arm in a sling following her shoulder surgery.
Enroute to Lebanon Saturday, we crept along in the slow traffic due to the Watertown mile-long yard sale. It even started in Dowelltown. It was a pretty weekend for it.
Don't forget the special event at the Family Medical Center this Friday, 9-2 p.m. It pays to be healthy.
Dr. John and Kathy Carpenter have returned from a much-needed vacation at Gulf Shores. Accompanying them were her mother, Betty Gunter, and sister and brother in law, Karen and Jerry Rollins. They enjoyed the sunshine, pool and great sea food.
