Summer time activities have begun with family picnics, vacations, ballgames and Vacation Bible Schools.
Ron and Tammy Mollinet hosted a fish fry at their home on Memorial Day. Those present were: Ryan and Laci Mollinet; Grayson and Addie From Huntsville, Alabama; Chris and Kristy Williams and Caroline; Alan Clark and Leah Clark; and Imogene Cantrell.
They enjoyed fresh caught catfish, grilled burgers and hotdogs.
Three fish were caught weighing 16 pounds. And that’s no fish tale!
The First Methodist folks gathered at Greenbrook Park on Sunday afternoon for a picnic and afternoon of games for the children. The men grilled the burgers to add to the many covered dishes. The picnic was closed with music by the Roundup Boys, Donnie and Barbara and a devotional by Reverend Edwin Moore.
Get-well wishes to Charlotte Barnard, Ginny Miller, Sara Brown, and Lewis Conklin.
Happy June birthday wishes to Donnie Driver, Theresa Garrison, Layra Crook, Kim Martin, Beth Cantrell, Tera Mooneyham, Mary Margaret Tripp, Betty Davis, Talitha Looney and Julie Vincent.
If you get the Tennessee Farm and Home magazine, there is a feature article about Stephen Ashburn, a local fellow, and his Alley Cat Tea. Some of you may remember Stephen having a restaurant in the alley in town, before it burned. I understant that this special tea will be sold at Webb’s Drug Store during the Jamboree.
Did you know that it takes 500 years to decompose a landfill?
Closing thought: Angel information: “Angels don’t eat, but they drink milk from holy cows!” Amen
