The beauty of God's creation
Dry Creek Flashes

Dawn is breaking in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. We are up, drinking our first cup of coffee and looking out to see God’s creation. The big fog tends to obstruct our view of the backyard and freshly cut hay field.
As the dense fog begins to ascend upward, we believe that we see the form of the two big bucks, six or more does and two fawns, which along with the crows and a pet squirre,l have just about consumed the pears and apples from the trees in our backyard.
Darkness has gone and we feel privileged to be able to greet another day. We give thanks to God for his protection and care for the past night then gaze out the glass door at this huge fuzzy animal. It is the coon, which has been seen by our family. It is licking Fluffy’s (the cat) bowl clean. Can’t afford food for Fluffy and the coon.
We would like to say hello to all of our friends and neighbors and those who take time to read the Smithville Review and the “Dry Creek Flashes.” A big “Thank You,” and keep reading-stay informed.
