News from the Mountain

Nine years coming up August 2nd since “Aubrey” passed away. So hard to believe that much time has went by. Quite a guy that was like no other in the time he was among us. A reputation of being honest and working hard for a living describes this man that so many called “Big John”. No one to hold a candle to him as they don’t make a man of his character and integrity anymore. People still talk of him with so much admiration after all this time. That tells the story of Aubrey and what he meant to so many especially here on the mountain. We had been so very fortunate and blessed of God to have had him with us all those years. How many of us that knew him can think of anyone vaguely like Aubrey? I cannot think of one. Proverbs 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. It couldn’t be said any better about Aubrey.

Let’s keep in prayer the following people: Charlie Mai Daniel, Frank Stembridge, Ronald Lawson, Talmage Young, Dr. J.C. Wall, Ethelene Pedigo, Helen Nixon, and Jeanette Smithson. Also the families of Peggy McClain and Bobby Pitts in your prayers.

We need to humble ourselves before God and pray for our nation during this trying time of unrest. All this protesting and everything else that has come with it needs to stop. Enough people have been hurt by the senseless acts that some have carried out and their businesses destroyed.
