BURNING ALIVE: With the current influx of morbidly smothering weather temperatures close to 110 Fahrenheit, persons are asked to stay indoors during this stifling event. Please remember your pets and keep them indoors = and basically, keep yourself indoors – especially, young children and persons over age 65. That would be me! The latter – not the former.

A SPECIAL APPRECIATION for the recent complimentary telephone call from a new friend and column follower, Wanda Braswell. She especially enjoyed last week’s list of grammatical errors and remembered that her school teacher, upon hearing someone say, “Where’s it at?” would say, “It’s behind the A and T!” Reminiscent of my mom saying, “Behind the at!” What’s your excuse?
WEEKLY LUCY UPDATE: LuAllen Parker Foutch is her birth and given name. When we were children, I began calling her LUCY. It stuck. She started calling me LECI. It didn’t. It all began with the television show, “I Love Lucy.” Creative, wasn’t I?
THE BRADY BARK: My little buddy has learned how to communicate using his paws and little brown pug nose. When he wants to be rubbed, he noses my hands into the air. This is his inbred signal for PETTING time and PET time.
NOT GOING: In a recent DeKalb County poll of 421 residents and visitors, the overwhelming answer to whether they were going to the upcoming Fiddlers Jamboree and Crafts Festival was only 33%. The number of those persons not attending the Jamboree this year tallied 67%.
UNTIL NEXT WEEK – BE NICE!
