FOR BIRD WATCHERS:  Following a year’s absence, the little Hummingbirds have landed in Smithville as of last Friday.  It’s now time to hang their feeders and fill them with their special sweety nectar (sugar water).  Then, watch away!  Just as a quick note, you can purchase pre-made nectar at Walmart.

ANGIE’S BIBLE VERSE OF THE WEEK: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”  (Romans 10:13 KJV)

WEEKLY MANNERS:  “You can rear your little one to become a well-mannered adult by instilling good manners (Google it).”  One of the hardest things to do is to say “I’m sorry.”

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY:

Wednesday, May 7:  American criminal, H. H. Holmes, who was considered the first known serial killer in the U. S. was hanged in 1896.  He confessed to 130 murders, although some persons believe the number was in excess of 200.

Wednesday, May 14:  Singer Frank Sinatra died in 1998.  He was age 82.

BRADY’S BARK:  Little bit has learned that barking his guts out is a positive reinforcement to treat-acquiring.  I’ve learned that it is a nerve and headache function to the human anatomy.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

These are things I strongly believe in:

·         Once is a mistake; twice is a decision.

·         People never forget the way you made them feel.

·         If you’re not losing friends, you’re not growing up.

·         An apology holds no weight if you had to ask for it.

·         If your absence doesn’t affect them, your presence never mattered.

·         Know both sides before you judge.

·         You cannot heal what you don’t let yourself feel.

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK: “Butterflies are like women.  We may be pretty and delicate, but baby, we can fly through a hurricane!”  (Betty White for Park Overall)

WORD TO MEMORIZE:  COPSE is a small group of trees.  In a sentence: “When I was a teenager, I liked to make-out behind a copse.”  It was better than playing “Spin the Bottle.”

WEEKLY LUCY UPDATE:  Hallelujah!  Lucy continues to improve and bring happiness and joy into my life and to many lives.  Thank you for your concern, thoughts, and prayers for her.  It won’t be long until she’ll be acting dumb again and reading her very own copy of the book, “History for Dummies,” a well-deserved gift from Jim.

DERBY NOTE:  With the upcoming Kentucky Derby this Saturday, one of the contender Thoroughbred’s is named “Journalism.”  Wonder who I’m hoping will win the Triple Crown?

UNTIL NEXT WEEK – BE NICE!
