November is a time we always stop to count our blessings. The top of my list is always Jesus for providing a ways for everyone, family, good old friends that have been around for years, our precious church family, and the beautiful area God placed us in to live out our life. We hope you take some time to reflect on all your blessings, they always outweigh the hard times we may face in life.
All the flowers are gone off the patio, so it was looking pretty bad until my daughter Lisa brought in a beautiful basket of winter colorful cabbage and greens. They will stay pretty during all the cold weather. In the next few week we will start feeding the birds. Maybe this winter will be mild on the animals. Unfortunately, we aren’t seeing many deer in the fields. Most falls the fields are full, but we believe some disease may have lessened their number this year. Time will tell as the hunters get ready for the hunting season.
We enjoyed our visitors last week. Susan Hinton brought her dad, Edward Frazier, down for a country ride and stopped by for a visit. It was good to reflect on old times with Edward. We are thankful he is doing so well. Susan and Jerry Hinton just returned from a true adventure to Mackinac Island, MI. They attended the Somewhere in Time event at the Grand Hotel. Susan reported a wonderful time was had on this beautiful island.
Get-well wishes go out to Tony Thompson who is recovering from surgery in a Nashville hospital. His wife Gail and daughter Valerie have been at his side during his sickness. We pray complete healing for Tony. We miss Gail, but Ms. Fay Adkins is very gracious to help out during her absence.
We send sympathy out to Jerry Lee Cantrell and family in the death of his wife Jane. May God help you through this time with precious memories and the precious hope of being together again one day.
November 15th is our church Family Thanksgiving Meal and Service. Everyone is welcome to attend at the Dry Creek Baptist Church. May God Bless all our readers.
