Volunteers needed to help build new hiking trail at Edgar Evins State Park
Work to take place Saturday, November 11
Friends of Edgar Evins Pic

You can help build the new half mile Story Book Trail at Edgar Evins State Park on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. When completed this trail will encourage young readers and their parents to enjoy a new outdoor experience together. Age is not a factor. If you can do yard work and walk on hilly ground you can do this. No experience is necessary. On the job training, tools and lunch (following the work) will be furnished.

All you need to bring is work gloves and to wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We’ll meet at the Interpretive Center at 9 A.M. If you would like to help please let us know you are coming so Friends of Edgar Evins State Park has enough food for everyone.

Contact Park Ranger Mark Taylor at mark.taylor@tn.gov or (931) 858-2114 or 1-800-250-8619  to sign up.
