Poss crowned Fairest, Taylor is Junior Fair Princess

As the week of fair pageants kicked off Monday night, beautiful young ladies ages 13-20 years of age competed for top honors and titles beginning with the Junior Fair Princess competition.

 

In the first pageant of the evening, Abigail Hope Taylor took the title and crown from a field of eight contestants. She succeeds the 2015 Junior Fair Princess, 15- year-old Addison Grace Oakley, the daughter of Clark and Lisa Oakley of Liberty.

 

Taylor is the 15-year-old daughter of Ken and Cindy Taylor of Smithville. She also was awarded the Miss Photogenic Award during the competition.

 

First runner-up went to Sarah Anne Colwell, the 15-year-old daughter of Trent and Christie Colwell of Smithville.

 

Ellisyn Kelsey Cripps was chosen as second runner-up. She is the 13-year-old daughter of Troy and Jamie Cripps of Smithville.

 

Third runner-up went to Shaunta Rose Koegler, the 15-year-old daughter of Brian and Leticia Koegler of Smithville.

 

Madison Rae Rackley, the 13-year-old daughter of Gordona and Jessica Rackley of Smithville, claimed fourth runner-up.

 

The Miss Congeniality award went to 13-year-old Monica Mashay Carltong of Smithville. She is the daugher of Leroy and Amanda Hale and Travis and Toni Carlton.

 

Also competeing in the competition were Alexis Grace Atnip, the 13-year-old daughter of Veronica Atnip of Smithville; and Lacey Jade McMillen, the 13-year-old daughter of Chris and Kristina McMillen of Alexandria.

 

Immediately following the Junior Fair Princess pageant, five beautiful young ladies competed for the ultimate pageant title, the Fairest of the Fair. The winner was Smithville’s 18-year-old Bethany Brooke Poss. She succeeds 20-year-old Kaylee Shannon Cantrell, the daughter of Shannon and Tonya Cantrell. Poss is the daughter of John and Lori Poss and will represent DeKalb County at the Tennessee State Fairest of the Fair Pageant in January.

 

First runner-up went to Tyra Grace Graham of Smithville. She is the 17-year-old Kyle and Doris Graham. She also received the Most Photogenic award.

 

Shauna Faith Taylor, the 20-year-old daughter of Ken and Cindy Taylor of Smithville was named second runner-up. She was also named Miss Congeniality.

 

Third runner-up went to Hannah Renea Walker, the 17-year-old daughter of Scott and Misty Walker of Smithville.

 

Destiny Danielle Franklin, the 17-year-old daughter of Jennifer Ware of Smithville, was named fourth runner-up.
