Happy Birthday to my granddaughter, Charlee Mac Winfree she turned two years old today. Charlee celebrated with a party with family and friends on Saturday. She had a good time and received some very nice gifts.
The wind was really blowing over the weekend. Then the rain set in and then here came the sleet and snow. I was awake through the rain, and fell back asleep and awoke again to sleet and snow. This happened in two hours’ time.
New Home Baptist Church had their play Sunday night. It was called "Keep Christ in Christmas." The children and adults worked hard on this play. They all done a great job. I do feel like it is a shame that the businesses say Happy Holiday, or you see advertising with x-mas. I mean really how hard it to say "Merry Christmas"? Growing up I didn’t know what x-mas meant. That just goes to show you how much the world has changed. People or businesses are so afraid about offending someone. But you will still offend someone by saying Happy Holiday. There is people that don’t even acknowledge the holidays? This is just my opinion. As for me I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Christmas is on Sunday this year. I find this very fitting that Christ birthday will be celebrated in church. Christ is the reason for the season.
Prayers for the families who have lost loved ones or their homes. Pray for the sick. May God comfort you at his time.
And when the eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in her womb. Luke 2:21
